Artificial Light @ Night

Kryptonite For Your Sleep

Blue light is blue because it’s a specific frequency — or wavelength — of light.

Blue frequencies are very near the spectrum of ultraviolet (UV) light — an extremely short-wave, high-energy radiation.

Being similar to UV, blue light is also a short-wavelength, high-energy radiation.

The shorter the wavelength and higher the energy of light, the stronger the light — via the eyes and skin — tells the brain it is daytime.

Therefore, as the day progresses toward bedtime, it becomes increasingly important to limit and eliminate all instances of blue light from the immediate environment.
